Shops, offices, studios
Commercial locksmith in Elda for shop doors, shutters and offices
A shutter lock that will not turn before opening time, a key that left with a member of staff, an office door that needs a better lock. Done around your hours, so the door is open when your customers arrive.
- Around your trading hours
- Invoice in the business’s name
- Price agreed before work starts
What we work on
The locks a shop or office depends on
-
Shop entrance doors
Glazed aluminium doors with a cylinder and hook-bolt lock, and the timber doors of older premises. Repaired, or the cylinder changed.
-
Roller shutters
Shutter locks that have seized, padlocks on floor bolts, side locks that no longer catch. The lock side of the shutter, not the motor.
-
Offices and back doors
Office doors, store rooms and the back door onto the yard or the stairwell, often on older locks than the front of the shop.
Shops and offices only: this business does not work on industrial estate premises.
Elda’s ground floors
Premises with a past in the shoe trade
Elda has around 4,000 businesses, and its shoe industry used to work in the middle of town. The Campo Alto estate was built in the 1980s to move that industry out of the centre. If your shop, office or studio was once one of those workshops, it may still have the original roller shutter and an old lock on the back door, and those are the first things to look at. The guide to moving into an old shoe workshop covers what to check first.
In the old town, the town council has been rebuilding the streets around the castle and has reopened Calle Independencia and Plaza de San Antón. If you take on premises there, plan for narrow access: the van may stop a street away.

How work on business premises is arranged
-
Photos and your hours
A photo of each lock and the hours you are open, by WhatsApp or email.
-
A slot outside trading hours
Before you open, at lunchtime or after you close, whichever keeps the doors open for customers.
-
The price, agreed before work starts
With the options laid out, so you can decide what to do now and what can wait.
-
Done, tested and invoiced
Every lock is tried from both sides, and the invoice goes to the business.
After a break-in at the shop, see repairs after a burglary. A safe in the back office is covered on opening a locked safe, and the front door of a flat on a lock change. A shutter jammed shut before opening time is a job for the emergency line. To book, see the contact page.
Questions
From people who run a shop or an office
The shutter lock has seized and we open in an hour.
Ring the emergency number rather than emailing. A seized shutter lock is usually opened without cutting the shutter, and then either freed or replaced so you can lock up again tonight.
Someone has left the business and kept a key.
Change the cylinder on every door that key opens, and do it before you ask for the key back. It is a short job and can be done before you open or after you close.
Can the work be done when we are closed?
Planned work is arranged around your trading hours, early or at the end of the day, so the shop is not shut while a lock is changed.
Do we get an invoice in the company’s name?
Yes. Send the business details by email when you book and the invoice is made out to the business.
Our shutter is motorised and it has stopped. Is that you?
The lock, the bolts and the manual release are locksmith work. The motor and its wiring are not; for those you need the installer or an electrician.
